Professional Biography: Mr. Sutton served as a legislative intern for the Arizona Parks & Recreation Association in 1988. During law school, he worked as a law clerk for Ferder Ogdahl Brandt & Casebeer in Salem, Oregon in 1991 and for the Law Offices of Dutson & Dove in Mesa, Arizona in 1990. Mr. Sutton began his law practice as an associate with Kellington, Krack, Richmond & Blackhurst in Medford, Oregon in 1992 and became a partner in the firm in 1997. Mr. Sutton was a partner until January of 2005 when he opened his own office. He has served as an adjunct professor teaching business law for the extended campus program of Northwest Christian College. Since 2005, Mr. Sutton has served as an arbitrator for the Jackson County Circuit Court mandatory arbitration program. Subsequently, Mr. Sutton was appointed as an arbitrator by the Josephine and Klamath County Circuit Courts as well. In 2012, Mr. Sutton was appointed to the volunteer position of Judge Pro Tempore of the Jackson County Circuit Court where he continues to hear and decide cases on a regular basis. Previously, Mr. Sutton also volunteered as a mediator for FED cases in the same Court. For many years, Mr. Sutton was also one of the few Oregon attorneys certified by for ACA International to review collection notices for legal compliance. He has achieved the BV Distinguished™ Rating for "very high rating in both legal ability and ethical standards" in a peer review conducted by Martindale-Hubbell®. He is now a member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates.
